Customers subject to metered charging will be charged in accordance with the Company’s Standard Metered Charges unless the Company has agreed to charge one of the other measured tariffs below.

Standard Metered Charges

• a standing charge payable on a daily basis determined in accordance with the Schedule of Charges
• a volumetric charge calculated by multiplying the volume of the water supplied as determined from the meter reading or estimated by the Company, by the rate per cubic metre shown in the Schedule of Charges

Large User Tariff

The Large User Tariff is available to Customers who consume 100 Megalitres or more of water annually.

The Company retains the absolute discretion to determine whether the Large User Tariff applies in respect of any set of premises.

A Customer who qualifies for the Large User Tariff may at any time opt to be charged on that Tariff which will apply from the date of application onwards. A Customer may by written notice to the Company revert to the Standard Metered Charges with effect from the date of the notice. A Customer may only give one election notice and one cancellation notice in any period of twelve months.

The charges comprise the following:

• the annual standing charge based on the size of meter
• volumetric charge calculated by multiplying the volume of the water supplied as determined from the meter reading by the Company, by the rate per cubic metre shown in the Schedule of Charges

WaterSure Tariff

Eligibility for this tariff is set out here. The charges will not exceed the Company's average household bill and comprise the following:

• an annual standing charge
• a volumetric charge calculated by multiplying the volume of the water supplied as determined from the meter reading or estimated by the Company, by the rates per cubic metre supplied shown in the Schedule of Charges

Payment Dates

The Company may bill Customers on a monthly, quarterly or half-yearly basis. Frequency will depend on consumption records for the property supplied.

Large users will be billed monthly.

Other Customers will be billed either quarterly or half-yearly. The Company will give at least 3 months' notice if it intends to change the billing frequency.

Accounts are payable on demand, but Customers billed either quarterly or half-yearly may choose to pay by direct debit or by using a booklet of payment slips, or a standing order arrangement of 12 equal monthly instalments due on the 28th of each month.

In addition, Domestic Customers may, by using a booklet of payment slips or a standing order arrangement, choose to pay by:

• weekly or fortnightly instalments of equal amounts or
• weekly instalments of variable amounts.

Failure to pay half yearly and instalment payments on the due dates will result in the full amount billed becoming immediately due and payable.
