Special Assistance

Our tailored services for customers with individual needs

Special Assistance is a scheme which allows you to register with us and receive, free of charge, any of the services mentioned below. Providing these tailored services helps us to ensure that all our customers receive our highest level of service, whatever their individual needs.

Once you are on our register the following services are available to you :

  • Large print or Braille bills and other company literature
  • Bill reading by telephone or audio cassette
  • Typetalk textphone facility
  • Alternative meter reading arrangements
  • Prior warning of planned interruptions to your water supply
  • Special arrangements for home dialysis patients
  • Sending bills and other correspondence directly to another person that you have nominated
  • Our staff can use a confidential written or spoken password chosen by you, so that you can identify them when they call at your home
  • Communicado language line for our non- English speaking customers (also available to non-registered customers)

How do I register?

If you wish to take advantage of the scheme, or want more information before joining, please contact our office on 0845 8885888 and ask for a registration form. Alternatively you can download a registration form by using the link below.

The information you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence. Only authorised staff will have access to your details, in order to provide you with the Special Assistance service you have requested and to manage your account.

WaterVoice Southern

You may also qualify for a reduced metered tariff if you receive benefit/tax credits and:

  • have three or more dependant children under the age of 19
  • or, have a specific medical condition which requires significant additional use of water

There is also easy access to our main office at Cherry Garden Lane for customers with disabilities.

Who can register?

Anyone with an individual need can be on our Special Assistance register and this includes:

  • Our older or less able customers
  • Customers with a disability
  • Customers that receive home dialysis
  • Customers who live alone or feel vulnerable to bogus callers
