Our Staff

Throughout our area we have over 90 staff working on the distribution network, in our water treatment works and in our office in Folkestone.

We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.

Our Owners

Veolia Water started investing in the UK in 1987. It operates three water supply companies in the South East of England - Three Valleys Water, Folkestone & Dover Water Services, and Tendring Hundred Water Services. Together, these companies provide 900 million litres of water a day to a population of 3.2 million. They employ around 1,050 people and have a total turnover of £186 million.

Three Valleys Water provides over 800m litres of drinking water per day to people in parts of Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey and North London. Its turnover for 2006/07 was £206.4 million. Folkestone and Dover Water Services provides around 43 million litres of drinking water a day to 160,000 people in South Kent and its turnover for 2006/07 was £16.7 million. Tendring Hundred Water provides drinking water to approximately 154, 000 people in the North Essex area and its turnover for 2006/07 was £14.3 million. Veolia Water Partnership provides expert services to the water supply companies on asset management, capex delivery, scientific services and procurement.

Veolia Water UK also operates in the non-regulated sector of the market under Veolia Water Projects, VWIO and Veolia Water Operations Ireland. Veolia Water Projects provides integrated water asset operations and management services to other utility companies and to owners of private water networks in the commercial, institutional and residential sectors. VWIO provides customised and sustainable solutions to optimise water cycle and wastewater management for industrial clients in the UK and Ireland. Veolia Water has been operating in Ireland since 1994 and its activities include work with local authorities and leading industrial firms.
